Private Sector participation projects can be regarded as a symbol of industrialisation of the Haldia industrial region. The major petrochemical complex of Haldia petrochemicals Limited adds a new dimension to possiblities by acting as a mother unit for setting up downstream industries like that of Plastic Thermowares, Paint Containers, Nursery Bags, HDPE bags, Ruffia Plants, PET resins units, etc. Their products are expected to have tremendous prospects in both domestic and export markets, spearheading a new industrial and economic resurgence in eastern India.
