- Member of Parliament Standing Committee of Finance.
- Member of Parliament Consultative Committee of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
- Member of Parliament Standing Committee of roads, transport and highways.
- At present he is a Member of Parlament (Lok Sabha) from Tamluk Constituency (14th Lok Sabha).
